Hexarelin is a synthetic growth-hormone secretagogue (GHS) and ghrelin-receptor (GHSR-1a) agonist from the GHRP family (hexapeptide). It provokes rapid, pulsatile GH release from pituitary somatotrophs and acts within the hypothalamus.
