Averlane Labs

Research-use policy

Who may buy from Averlane, what our materials are for, and the acknowledgment recorded on every order.

Qualification to purchase

Purchasers must be at least 21 years of age and acquiring materials as qualified researchers or on behalf of a research institution. The checkout acknowledgment affirms both facts and is stamped onto the order record with a timestamp. We decline orders where the stated or apparent use falls outside in vitro research.

What our materials are

Research-grade reference materials: lyophilized peptides, research compounds and laboratory reagents supplied for in vitro use. They are not drugs, foods, dietary supplements, cosmetics or diagnostic agents; they are not approved for human or veterinary use, and they have not been evaluated by any medicines regulator for safety or efficacy.

Prohibited uses

Materials may not be used for human or veterinary administration, consumption, clinical application, diagnostic procedures, or resale into any of those channels. Misuse voids any claim against us, and where we become aware of it, closes the account permanently.

Our side of the bargain

In exchange we owe you the documentation: a certificate for every lot, raw analytical values on the record page, retain samples held two years, and a reject log that is never quietly emptied. If any published value is wrong, the retain is re-tested at our cost and the record is corrected publicly.

Refusal and account closure

We may refuse or cancel any order, and close any account, where the research-use policy is in doubt, with a refund of unshipped amounts. We do not argue edge cases; the policy is the edge.
